About GETAH

GETAH was founded in the spring of 2009 - however, its beginnings were being conceived and developed since January 11, 2007. Its origin began in Kenya with the realization that there is an ever increasing demand and need for social equality and development.

Mission
GETAH, Global Education Through Artistic Harmony, is committed to increasing the educational prospects for the peoples of the world who lack traditional and non-traditional learning opportunities, through the development of imaginative occasions of self-discovery and growth through artistic expression and expansion.

Vision
GETAH was founded on the principal that education is only successful if it succeeds in developing the opportunities for all. Through our own personal discovery of the challenges that face communities around the world, we have taken an initiative to promote and develop a wide range of skills that can help families overcome the hurdles that face a changing, modern world. GETAH looks at the growing concerns that face humanity and takes a roots perspective on how to help alleviate social unrest. It is felt that by developing life skills, promoting community based work ethics and increasing knowledge, people of all nations can better equip themselves with the tools to succeed both personally and communally.

Values
  • Create community based projects that positively influence the internal and external growth and prosperity of all the people within that community.
  • Extend educational assistance to those families and communities who need it most.
  • Monitor the short and long-term success of each program through statistical methodology.
  • Tailor each project specifically to the needs of each demographic group.
  • Hold ourselves accountable for overall program success.
  • Hold ourselves financially accountable to investors of GETAH.
  • Secure and build relationships with those persons and organizations, willing to assist those in need for the benefit of the people we are assisting.
  • Respect the cultural and religious traditions of those people and places in which we are involved.
  • Limit the influence of our own personal beliefs, traditions, opinions, and lifestyles on the peoples and places in which we are involved.
  • Manage GETAH in an honest, ethical and proficient manner.
  • Empower the citizens of each community to lead and nurture their own community-wide initiatives, claiming independence from our organization when they no longer need our assistance.
